Acquiring Coupons
I've compiled some tips to my coupon usage. I buy 2 newspapers each week. This is a manageable amout for me. Sometimes I wish I had more and at times I have purchased coupons from one of the coupon clippers or from ebay.
Another place to get coupons is online, lots of companies provide coupons either on their sites or on numerous coupon sites like Coupons.com, SmartSource.com, RedPlum.com and many others.
If you are looking to build your coupon stash without spending money on extra newspapers you can try these methods of acquiring coupons:
Check with your local library and ask them if you can have the coupons from the Sunday papers.
Ask neighbors and friends who do not use their coupons.

They have weekly ads with money saving coupons, they give 'Register Rewards' on certain purchases that you use on future purchases and they have ESR (Easy Saver Rebates). There are several ways to save and you can save even more by using a manufacturer's coupon in addition to the Walgreen's sales, etc.
A shopping example at Walgreen's yesterday: they had Garnier Frutis shampoos & conditioners on sale at $3.99 each, there's a $2 coupon in their monthly ESR booklet in the store plus there was a $1 manufacturer's coupon pad next to the display so I paid $1 for each bottle of shampoo.
